The Clooneys gifted their neighbours a £45,000 trip for noise caused by renovations

George and Amal Clooney are everyone's favourite for a reason.

The couple renovated their Berkshire village in 2015 (construction which went on till 2017), and realised the distress they may have caused their neighbours.

In a bid to compensate for the noise caused, the Clooneys gifted a vacation to their neighbours worth £45,000 the year the construction began, which included a holiday to Corfu, a six-week stay at a luxury hotel and a £30,000 sum, reported DailyMail,

Post-trip, the couple paid for their stay at a hotel called The French Horn for six weeks. Once that became inconvenient, the Clooneys paid £780,000 for the couple to stay at a cottage down the road from their house.

Talk about "love thy neighbour."

The renovations totalled a sum of £12.5 million which included a 12-seater cinema, subterranean irrigation system, 60ft swimming pool and an astroturf tennis court.
