What to expect from the opening night of Pakistan Super League 2017

The second edition of the Pakistan Super Leagues kicks off at 7.30 PKT this evening and it's going to be a happening night!

Hosted by Fahad Mustafa, the launch will feature several exciting musical acts and a slew of celebrity appearances.

Here's what's going down.

1) Shaggy's being flown in to bring the house down!

In case you missed it, the 'Boombastic' singer is the much-touted international act performing at the PSL opening night.

Shaggy will feel right at home on a cricket pitch, it seems. “It's great to be here and I look forward to performing at the ceremony... I have a long association with Chris Gayle while Courtney Walsh (Former West Indian Fast Bowler) was my neighbour in Jamaica," he said at a press conference yesterday.

The Jamaican rapper is said to be singing his biggest hits. We're sure he'll charge up the crowd!

2) Ali Zafar is the other headline act.

Ali Zafar's been crowned the ambassador for HBL PSL and has also sung the official anthem of the tournament. So, no surprise that he'll follow Shaggy up on stage.

Here's an exclusive sneak-peek at his performance tonight!

3) Shehzad Roy will sing too!

Shehzad Roy, who belted out the fun anthem for Karachi Kings, will also perform at the opening ceremony.

Speaking to Images, Shehzad revealed, "I'll be performing 'Balle Balle' with a lot of dancers. I've heard it'll be a packed stadium and I'm looking forward to entertaining the crowd."
