Hania Amir bags lead role in Hamza Ali Abbasi's next film

At 19, the youngest Janaan star has already made a name for herself in the entertainment sphere.

According to a press release, Hania Amir has been roped in to play the lead role in the Hamza Ali Abbasi-starrer Parwaaz Hai Junoon. Earlier, the film's producer Momina Duraid had refused to reveal the female lead in the film, saying, "It’s a secret."

Now that the cat's out of the bag, we've learnt that Hania has started shooting for her upcoming film. The cast also includes Balu Mahi actor Osman Khalid Butt.

The venture is the filmmaking debut of award-winning director Haseeb Hasan and has been penned by Farhat Ishtiaq of Humsafar, Diyar-e-Dil and Udaari fame.

The film is being produced in collaboration with Pakistan Airforce and intends to pay tribute to the armed forces by highlighting true events. It will also feature real-life airforce pilots and personalities alongside the lead cast.

Parwaaz Hai Junoon is slated to release in 2017.
