About last night: Three Pakistanis honoured at the Femina Middle East Awards

Last night was ladies' night in Dubai; the first ever Femina Middle East Women Awards happened at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel and some of our favourite Pakistani women were honoured for their achievements.

The award show aims to honour women from professional fields across the board and recognize them for their outstanding contributions. Obviously, our very own Mahira Khan was amongst the winners of the night.

The Humsafar leading lady bagged an accolade for being the unstoppable emerging talent from Pakistan.

Mahira wore a sari with a twist from Studio S coupled with Zohra Rahman jewellery

If that wasn't enough, bridal wear maestro Farah Talib Aziz was also honoured for being unstoppable in creative design; her daughter, the marketing force behind the label, Maliha Aziz accompanied her to the event.

Pakistanis already knew that no one does bridal quite like FTA; now the Middle East does too!

Last but certainly not the least, Namira Salim, an explorer/astronaut also won for being unstoppable in space exploration.

Salim is also the co-founder of Virgin Galactic, the first commercial space line of the world

This wouldn't be the first time that notable Pakistani women have been acknowledged for their work in the region. Last year, Asma Nabeel, the creative head of Crew Motion Pictures, was felicitated with the Femina Unstoppable Woman Award for her contribution to Arts and Entertainment. The brains of Hum TV, Sultana Siddiqui and journalist/activist Sidra Iqbal have also been recognized by the GR8 Women Awards held in the Gulf.
