Just in: Rani Mukherjee and Aditya Chopra welcome a baby girl

Bollywood actor Rani Mukerjee and producer/director Aditya Chopra welcomed a baby daughter in Mumbai today, reported The Hindustan Times. The couple have named their daughter Adira.

The daughter's name comes from a combination of parents' names, Aditya and Rani. In a statement given to media Rani thanked all her fans: "I would like to thank all my well wishers and fans. Today life has given us God’s greatest gift with Adira. We thank fans our friends and well wishers for their unconditional support and blessings. With joy we begin this new chapter in our lives."

Aditya's younger brother Udhay Chopra announced the new arrival on Twitter, and celebs congratulated the couple:

The couple tied the knot in Italy on April 21 last year in a private affair. The news of Rani's pregnancy was revealed in September when she was spotted in London at a prenatal spa.
