An Indian Game of Thrones will have to wait, says Hodor

While the gentle giant Hodor says nothing but his own name in the hit fantasy series Game of Thrones, the actor Kristian Nairn who plays the character aired a lot of opinions during his recent trip to India for the just concluded Delhi Comic Con.

While admitting that a desi spin-off of Game of Thrones will be "interesting", Nairn said Indians will have to "wait until our version is finished".

"I don't know! May be [an Indian version] will work. The book is incredible; so it will be interesting to see a different take of it. But wait until our version is finished first. Then maybe give it a go. I would like to see that," Nairn said to IANS.

Nairn believes that Game of Thrones is popular all over the globe, including India, is because "it is relatable":

"It is like fantasy and escapism, but it is not too crazy. It is not unicorns and fairy. It is almost like watching different versions of real-world history apart from dragons and the White Walkers," said the Irish actor.

During the interview, Nairn also said that he wished to work with Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra, whose American TV debut Quantico recently began airing.
