Lahori-nspiration: Nandita Das is all praise for the Khayaal Festival

Arriving in Lahore for the Khayaal Festival, Indian actor Nandita Das was all praises for the fest as she thanked the team for inviting her over.

The actor, who was also a part of Mehreen Jabbar's Ramchand Pakistani, said she was inspired by Khayaal, a festival that aimed at bringing together culture, art, literature, music, dance, economy and sociopolitical issues through dialogues and discussions.

Das, who had previously said she wished to make a film on Sadat Hasan Manto, spoke in a discussion session with Sarmad Sultan Khoosat whose biopic Manto has been been getting a lot of rave reviews.

She had earlier said about the festival: "It is bringing together writers, thinkers, filmmakers, artists, actors and musicians to discuss and debate various issues. I am in two sessions and one of them will be a conversation with the Pakistani director/actor of the film on Manto."
