Atif Aslam gets back to his roots with a new video for Ho Mann Jahaan
The first music video from the soundtrack of upcoming film Ho Mann Jahaan is out, and it sees Atif Aslam return to familiar ground.
After a long playback singing stint in Bollywood, Atif Aslam lends his vocals to 'Dilkare', his first track for a Pakistani film since Bol (2011).
The video for 'Dilkare' combines shots of Atif's travels through picturesque Chitral with unseen scenes from the film that show the more poignant moments in the protagonists' lives.
While the result is not as visually stunning, as say, the bright and blithe first promo of Ho Mann Jahaan, it gives the upcoming film's audience some more insight into the film's plot.
The song, which yearns for a reconciliation after a falling out, plays out against the lead trio's various states of misery.
Ho Mann Jahaan is a coming-of-age drama, which follows three college friends (Mahira Khan, Sheharyar Munawer Siddiqui and Adeel Husain) as they navigate through college life and the real world in pursuit of their passion to become musicians.
Ho Mann Jahaan is ad filmmaker/music video director Asim Raza's feature film debut, and releases on January 1, 2016.
