I am Deepika's all-time favourite actor, says Ranbir Kapoor
Well, that's a bit of an overstatement.
Bollywood stars and former flames Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor have been promoting their upcoming film, Imtiaz Ali's Tamasha.
According to Times of India, during the Diwali promotions for the film in Delhi, Deepika was quizzed about Ranbir's favourite actor. Deepika took the name of Ranbir's legendary grandfather, Raj Kapoor.
In reply to Deepika's answer, Ranbir joked that he's Deepika's all-time favourite actor.
While 'all-time favourite' may be a bit of a stretch, it's true that Deepika is all praise for Ranbir's work ethic, reports NDTV. She says working with Ranbir has made her a better person:
"It feels nice to see the kind of person Ranbir has become, how talented he is, the kind of movies he is doing. I always say that working with him makes you a better person, a better actor. The passion he has for his work makes you work hard," she said.
She also reminsced about starting her Bollywood career with him:
"It has been an amazing journey. Eight years ago we were raw, nervous. It was our first film and for no fault of ours we were pitted against each other. Today we are sitting and talking about a film as we are starring in it together," Deepika said in an interview.
The duo has previously acted in two films together – Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008) and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013). Their third joint project Tamasha will hit theatres on November 27.
