Mark your calendars: Grease will return to stage in March 2016
Missed the 2014 run of Nida Butt's production of Grease? Her company Made For Stage Productions is bringing the show back in March next year!
Owing to its popularity, Nida and team has decided to stage it again, simply because it's a classic.
Giving details to Images, she said that some shows never die out for the audience: "A show like Grease is timeless, and has enough oomph to run for several months at a time. It is no wonder it ran for decades on the West End and Broadway. The Made for Stage Productions' 2014 run of Grease was just 20 shows, so many people never got a chance to enjoy it."
Grease may not be the only show to mark its comeback: "Made for Stage productions turns ten next year," Nida revealed. "We are celebrating by bringing back some of out most loved productions. We may even have one more blockbuster up our sleeve for 2016!"
New faces to be expected as call for auditions has been given
Although in the previous production, actors like Sanam Saeed, Ayesha Omar and Ahmed Ali (of Karachi Se Lahore fame) stunned the audience, this time Nida is giving a chance to newcomers with a call for auditions that kick off next week on November 2, 6 and 13 at MAD School.
