The premiere for Mango Jutt finally took place on Friday and it was nothing short of a roller-coaster ride for Hareem Farooq — and not just because she’s the producer of the movie and stars in it as well.

The actor went through an emergency outfit crisis, which she described in colourful detail in an Instagram post on Sunday.

Farooq wrote about how she spent an entire week planning for the big day, including preparations for what she was supposed to wear — and that’s where things went wrong.

“A premiere to remember. A night of lessons, resilience & surrender,” she wrote.

“We’d spent a week planning every detail: clothes, jewellery, makeup, photography. Everything was ready for Thursday at 7pm… until 5pm, when an issue with my outfit meant I couldn’t wear it! Two hours to go. No backup. All hell broke loose,” the actor added.

It was in this moment of chaotic adrenaline that Farooq found a moment of clarity.

“When things aren’t going according to your plan, they’re going according to His,” she shared, noting that the sudden change in course was a reminder to surrender.

With the team scrambling, a quick decision had to be made.

“The chaos, the energy, everyone pulling together on hope… and somehow, it became one of my favourite looks, loved by so many of you too! We made it on time, in full desi glam,” she wrote.

Farooq then went on to thank her glam team for working tirelessly behind the scenes to make the cast look their best.

“Thank you for making Mango Jutt’s premiere so special with your love and warmth. Now playing in cinemas across Pakistan, take your loved ones, and keep the love coming!”

In the movie, Farooq shares the big screen opposite Faysal Quraishi. The cast also includes Shamoon Abbasi, Ayesha Jehanzeb and Qaiser Piya.
