Swedish singer Zara Larsson launches special smoothie to support Malala's mission of educating girls
Step aside, Avengers: Endgame, there’s a new ambitious crossover in town and it involves Swedish singer Zara Larsson, Pakistani Nobel Laureate Malala Yousafzai and some very colourful smoothies.
Okay, let us explain. Larsson has launched a special smoothie in partnership with California-based organic goods store Erewhon called Midnight Sun and the proceeds from the sale of the drink will be donated to the Malala Fund to help support its mission of providing girls around the world access to 12 years of education.
The pink-purple concoction contains a mix of organic ingredients including coconut milk, blueberries, banana, whey protein, strawberries, pineapple, mango, coconut water, carrot juice and vanilla.

Midnight Sun is inspired by the singer’s latest album, with which it shares a name and is available at most Erewhon locations, on the chain’s mobile app and in New York with Uber Eats Postmates.
The Malala Fund, co-founded by Yousafzai and her father, has made substantial contributions to education for girls in underdeveloped parts of the world, including her native Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The fund’s more recent charitable endeavours in Pakistan include Rs95 million in grants for organisations working to promote education in Sindh and Gilgit-Baltistan and providing free transportation to students in 10 districts in KP in collaboration with local partners.
Internationally, the fund pledged $300,000 towards girls education and emergency relief for Gaza, Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo in January. This was after the organisation pledged $100,000 to support Gazan refugees in Egypt in September 2025.
Yousafzai also committed $3m to funding the restoration of girls education in Afghanistan, where it has been banned by the Taliban-led government.
