Maryam Nawaz's daughter Mahnoor to tie the knot on Saturday
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Mahnoor is set to tie the knot on Saturday, with the nikkah ceremony to be held at the family residence in Jati Umra, a family source told Images on Thursday.
According to the source, Mahnoor’s marriage has been arranged with a member of a prominent business family. The ceremony is expected to remain a private family affair, with close relatives and extended family attending.
Mahnoor has largely remained out of the public eye. The Sharif family have not announced any details of a formal reception or any other wedding festivities.
The wedding comes shortly after CM Maryam travelled to London to attend Mahnoor’s graduation ceremony. She returned to Lahore on Wednesday after attending the event.
Mahnoor’s brother, Junaid Safdar, wed Shanzeh Ali Rohale — the granddaughter of former legislator Shaikh Rohale Asghar — in January, with much pomp and circumstance.
The days-long festivities for Junaid’s second marriage included a green-themed mehndi, a sunlit baraat and an outdoor valima at the Sharif family’s Jati Umrah estate.
