This year, Pakistanis went all out for Christmas with a number of public celebrations and initiatives bringing cheer to the streets. Among those celebrating the holiday were celebrities, many of whom lit up social media with posts and stories sending everyone who celebrates wishes for a very merry Christmas.

Yumna Zaidi, Kubra Khan, Reema Khan and Shehzad Roy put up stories on Instagram sending wishes to the country’s Christians.

Other celebrities chose to get together with friends and family for the holiday. Atiqa Odho treated us to pictures with industry veterans and Sunita Marshall shared some from her family’s grand Christmas party. Gohar Rasheed also shared snaps from a Christmas party he and wife Kubra hosted.

Usman Mukhtar posted some shots with his wife, Zunaira Inam and we could see Osman Khalid Butt third-wheeling.

Families naturally play a big role in celebrating Christmas and we got adorable photos from Armeena Khan and Maryam Nafees.

There were also trees — Aijaz Aslam walked by one and Sarwat Gilani took a selfie with another. Maya Ali also couldn‘t resist the season’s coniferous charm.

Roma Riaz and Erica Robin embodied the spirit of Christmas best, with one posting pictures from a celebration at a church while the other spent time with children at a shelter.

Everyone spent the day differently, but the message seemed to be the same; peace, joy and love for all.
