The long-delayed Neelofar is finally gaining momentum, and the hype is real. The teaser for its second song, ‘Tum He Ho,’ just dropped — and Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan’s fans are collectively losing it. The film, set to release on November 28, already has everyone swooning over the duo’s on-screen chemistry once again.

Released on Friday — nearly two weeks after the first track, ‘Tu Meri’ — the new song came as a joint post by the two stars and the film’s team. The caption read, “Tum He Ho! Yeh Kissa Main Agli Mulaqat Main Sunaon Ga!” (You are the one! I will tell this story the next time we meet), teasing yet another chapter in Mansoor and Neelofar’s story.

The Sufiscore number, written and sung by Zeeshan (Vicky) Haider, opens with Mahira turning on a recorder in an open field, her quiet movements setting the tone as a gentle piano drifts into mandolin-led melody, almost European in feel — the kind that evokes the quiet romance of old cities. We see Fawad as Mansoor — a writer — lost in thought in his vast library, his mind flickering back to moments with Neelofar, played by Mahira, who, according to IMDb, portrays a visually impaired woman.

Neelofar is executive produced by Fawad, and Hassaan Khalid, produced by Usaf Shariq, and written and directed by Ammar Rasool, with a background score by Zeeshan (Vicky) Haider.

The new teaser offers glimpses of their effortless chemistry: the two sitting side by side in an eye clinic’s waiting area as Neelofar bursts into a warm, wholehearted laugh at something Mansoor says — the kind that feels real and unrehearsed — all building up to Fawad’s moving narration that closes the clip:

Main itnay saal masroof raha, kuch bhi na karne main, jaise dil dhool se bani dhund main gira ho, phir socho ke aik din tez hawa chalay aur jo tum dhoondte ho, wo aik dam se chupke se tumhare saamne ajaye…”

“I stayed busy for so many years, doing nothing. Like my heart was encircled by a fog of dust. But think, one day, a strong gust of wind blows and what you are looking for, suddenly, secretly, appears in front of you”

With ‘Tum He Ho’, the film teases a romance that’s tender, patient, and written as much in silences as in words — a love story that’s been years in the making, and one that promises to be worth the wait.
