5 things Danish Taimoor and Ayeza Khan revealed about each other on his Ramazan show

From Taimoor talking about his 'permission' to marry four times to his dad giving Khan pocket money, there was a lot revealed during the show.

During a recent episode of Mehfil-e-Ramazan — the Ramazan transmission hosted by Danish Taimoor and Rabia Anam — viewers were treated to a rare appearance by none other than Taimoor’s wife, superstar Ayeza Khan.

The couple, often private about their relationship on public forums except for cute family photos on Instagram, let their guard down just enough to spill some sweet anecdotes, some eyebrow-raising takes, and a few moments that made us chuckle, root for them and occasionally cringe a little.

Here’s a roundup of everything the couple said on the show that had us clapping or giving them the side-eye.

1. Ayeza’s birth name is Kanza…and Danish may have manifested her in his life

In a twist straight out of a drama serial, Taimoor revealed a bizarre coincidence (or cosmic manifestation?). Anam shared a story from Taimoor’s youth — a girl once professed her love to him, he turned her down saying he was already in love with someone named “Kanza.” Years later, during his nikah, the maulvi asked him if he agreed to be married to “Kanza Khan”. Startled, Danish asked, “Kanza who?” And that’s when he found out that Khan’s birth name was Kanza.

2. Danish isn’t marrying again — but not because he can’t

Taimoor, while emphasising his love and respect for Khan, said, “If Allah has permitted something, it’s nonreversible. If I am not doing it, I will say this in front of her and everyone else — I have permission to marry four times. But I’m not doing it out of my love and respect for Ayeza.”

Cue awkward chuckles and a collective yikes for making it sound like he’s doing Khan a favour while having the liberty to pursue other options. Khan smiled and nodded through this.

3. Danish’s dad handles their finances…and gave Ayeza pocket money

We weren’t ready for this one. Khan candidly shared that earlier in their marriage, Taimoor’s father would give her pocket money — and then later follow up on how she spent it. “Initially, when I wasn’t working, I needed pocket money. And I would get that pocket money through his father,” she said, laughing. “He would give me the cheque and then ask me next month what I did with it.”

A little too much of throwback to choti bahu era for some viewers’ tastes, but the couple seemed to be in good humour about it.

4. Who’s the better actor? Ayeza thinks it’s Danish

When Anam posed the ultimate question — who’s the better actor — Khan pointed at Taimoor without hesitation, while Taimoor said, “the audience can be a judge of that.”

Khan shared that she often learns from Taimoor’s expressions. She even credited him for inspiring her performance in Mein, where she played Mubashira Jaffar.

With over 14.4 million Instagram followers and a portfolio full of blockbuster hits, Khan might just be being humble here. (We see you, queen!)

5. Who’s more responsible? You guessed it: Danish again

According to Taimoor, while Khan is “very responsible,” he’s “twice as responsible.” And again, Khan happily agreed. “When I’m with Danish, I become a little bawli (crazy),” she said. “It’s like my brain stops working.”

Taimoor added, “She forgets things.” Khan responded, “Otherwise, I’m very responsible.”

It’s a dynamic many couples can probably relate to — a woman who switches off occasionally because she feels safe and looked after, which is kind of wholesome.

Why does the public have to know about the private lives of these people, don't make no sense to me.
