“Lose your mind. Lose your reality.”

Netflix has dropped the long-awaited trailer for Black Mirror’s seventh season, offering a chilling glimpse into the latest batch of dystopian nightmares set to arrive on April 10.

With six episodes, the anthology series promises to push the limits of technology, morality, and the human psyche. Set to a haunting, distorted rendition of ‘Dream a Little Dream,’ the trailer is a kaleidoscope of unsettling visuals and mind-bending scenarios.

From AI-dominated worlds to eerie VR simulations and dystopian narratives, each episode appears to explore the dangerous allure of escaping reality, blending nostalgia, innovation, and the series’ signature bleak brilliance.

While details of the episodes are under wraps with the trailer only dropping hints about the upcoming season, series creator Charlie Brooker told Netflix’s Tudum that the new season is “a little bit OG Black Mirror.”

“It’s back to basics in many ways,” he said. “They’re all sci-fi stories, but there’s definitely some horrifying things that occur, maybe not in an overt horror-movie way. There’s definitely some disturbing content in it.”

“You can expect a mix of genres and styles,” Brooker shared. “We’ve got six episodes this time, and two of them are basically feature-length. Some of them are deeply unpleasant, some are quite funny, and some are emotional.”

Among the most anticipated entries is a sequel to the fan-favourite Season 4 episode U.S.S. Callister, confirming earlier reports that Black Mirror is revisiting some of its most iconic stories. But that’s not the only blast from the past — fans were quick to spot Will Poulter reprising his role as Colin Ritman, the eccentric Eighties video game programmer from the interactive episode Bandersnatch, suggesting a second sequel within the season.

The all-star cast for season seven includes Awkwafina, Peter Capaldi, Emma Corrin, Paul Giamatti, Rashida Jones, Billy Magnussen, Cristin Milioti, Chris O’Dowd, Issa Rae, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Jimmi Simpson.

The trailer also hints at Capaldi portraying a sinister, cult-like figure in one of the upcoming episodes, with glimpses of a stark AI-driven world.

“Your mind is a computer,” Capaldi’s character ominously declares in the trailer — a line that echoes the show’s ever-present warning about the fragility of identity and the consequences of unchecked technological advancement.

With just weeks to go until the premiere, Black Mirror fans can brace themselves for another deeply unsettling, thought-provoking plunge into the surreal corners of our digital age.

But Netflix is on the anti-israel boycott list. So why do you keep recommending shows we can't watch? Same applies for Disney.
