LOL! So desperate to be considered progressive, modern and in-tune - NOT! Even in north America, you're more like to hear the festive greeting of "Happy Holidays" around this time of the year. Instead of "Merry Xmas". To be all inclusive, without leaving out any other faith celebrating religious festivities during the same period, or offending anyone by assuming they are 'Christians" when you greet them with 'Merry Xmas'. Why y0u ask?? Ignorance is bliss. Little do this lot realizes that at least THREE major celebrations take place between Dec. 18- 26: 1- Hannukah for Jews from Dec. 18-26 2. Xmas - Dec 25 Christians only. 3. Kwanzaa African-American heritage celebrations for all African-Americans. So instead, adopt the more appropriate greeting. Your FB, Tiktok, and Instagram addiction should've taught you that.

"Merry Christmas to all those celebrating". How can you really object to this? You can't, unless you are the one who are trying to be "in-tune" and following the West by political correcting a very religious holiday. In Pakistan there is a big Christian minority, but hardly any Jews or African Americans I would say. So it is indeed appropriate to make your fellow countrymen and women feel loved and included by not getting offended and charged on everything and just lovingly saying "Merry Christmas".

@MAHMOOD Outside of the English speaking world where about 7 billion people live, nobody says happy holidays. Stop being obsessed with America

I thinks it's fine to wish people merry Christmas. Whether it's happy holidays, happy Hanukkah or Merry Christmas, doesn't matter. It's just s greeting. However, I think this is an apt opportunity to do a feature on Pakistani Christians, a marginalised and persecuted minority, so a little coverage of how Christians are celebrating Christmas in Pakistani cities would have been nice and informative. In a way, a welcome recognition of them.
