Actors Muneeb Butt and Aiman Khan have had a rough couple of days. Half of their house collapsed due to a sewerage line explosion on Sunday and Khan received minor injuries. Before they could speak about the matter themselves, videos of the damaged part of their home started circulating on social media. Butt has now revealed that though everyone escaped unscathed, they were well and recovering. He thanked fans for their love and prayers.
On Tuesday, he took to his Instagram to briefly explained what happened. “On Sunday, February 20, half of my house collapsed due to an explosion caused by accumulation of gases in our sewerage lines. Aiman suffered minor injuries caused by shards of glass and our house help suffered burns but Allah has been very kind — Alhumdulillah, they are both recovering,” he wrote.
Butt said trying times like these are a reminder of what is important in life — the safety and health of your family and loved ones. “Me and my family are immensely grateful of all the love and well wishes you have sent our way, and request that you continue praying for us. Thank you,” he added.
Gulberg police SHO Ashraf Jogi told Images that they received information on the Madadgar-15 Helpline about an “explosion” inside the house of the actor at around 1:45pm on Sunday. The police rushed to the spot and searched the house.
It transpired that because of accumulation of gases, a gutter line exploded, resulting in a wall’s collapse. The SHO said that one woman and two children suffered minor injuries. No case has been registered.
