Suniel Shetty’s daughter Athiya Shetty set to tie the knot with Indian cricketer KL Rahul on Jan 23: reports
Tis the season of Bollywood weddings and the first one on our radar surprisingly isn’t Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra’s rumoured grand Rajasthani wedding. Indian media reports that Suniel Shetty’s daughter, Athiya Shetty, is getting married to cricketer KL Rahul this month, on January 23.
On Friday, Hindustan Times revealed that the invites have been sent out to the couple’s guest list and decor has been finalised as there are less than 10 days left till the couple ties the knot at the Hera Pheri actor’s farmhouse in Khandala, Maharashtra.
Sources close to the couple told the publication that the three-day wedding affair will begin with a ladies’ night on January 21 that will include Athiya’s close female friends such as actor Akansha Ranjan. The following day, a sangeet ceremony will take place where Athiya’s brother Ahan Shetty is expected to perform with parents Suniel and Maya Shetty.
“It is an extremely close-knit family affair. Only friends and family members will be a part of the wedding. It’s most likely that you may not see many industry peeps,” revealed the insider.
According to Pinkvilla, MS Dhoni, Salman Khan, Virat Kohli, Jackie Shroff, and other well-known names from the film and cricket industries will attend the wedding.
The publication reported that Suniel’s 17-year-old Khandala house is not going to host the guests. The wedding will take place there but the guests are staying at a five-star property near the venue.
It is also rumoured that celebrity stylist Ami Patel, who styles Alia Bhatt, Sara Ali Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and more, will be styling the bride-to-be and as for the groom, he will be styled by Rahul Vijay who is known for styling Vicky Kaushal, Mrunal Thakur, Arjun Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao.
