South Korean singer-songwriter IU dating actor Lee Jong-suk
If you’re a K-pop and K-drama fan, we’ve got a good news for you. In an unexpected crossover, South Korean media reports that singer-songwriter IU is now dating Big Mouth star Lee Jong-suk.
Korean media, Soompi shared Jong-suk’s agency’s statement saying, “This is an official statement regarding the exclusive article about actor Lee Jong Suk. Actor Lee Jong Suk and IU recently progressed from being close acquaintances into being a couple, and they are maintaining a serious relationship. Please show lots of support so they can continue their beautiful relationship.”
IU’s agency also gave out a similar statement where they asked “warm reception of fans” for the couple.
Prior to the statements, Dispatch reported that both Jong-suk and IU had been dating for four months. According to them, both the singer and actor met on the sets of music show Inkigayo, 10 years ago and over time their friendship evolved into romance.
Dispatch also quoted close sources of the new couple that told the site that both families are made aware of their relationship. IU previously sang a celebratory song at Jong-suk’s younger brother’s wedding earlier this year.
