Going loco for local: Le Pur Organics’ Nemoringa Cleansing Balm is a game changer

The makeup removing balm has taken my double cleansing routine up a notch and I have nothing but praise for it.

I’ve always been the person who spends hours and hours on YouTube hunting for the perfect skincare routine. But with that comes a long list of products I want to try and heartbreak — not all these products are easily available in Pakistan. But, I was lucky enough to perfect my double-cleansing method with the perfect cleansing balm from Le Pur Organics called the Nemoringa Cleansing Balm.

If you love skincare as much as I do, you probably dislike the idea of a waxy balm that smells stronger than a perfume bottle. Unfortunately, most of the cleansing balms found in Pakistan have either too much essential oil or a waxy formula that doesn’t melt easily. Luckily, a friend whom I had complained to about cleansing balms in Pakistan suggested Le Pur and honestly, there’s no going back.

First of all, a cleansing balm is a must for double cleansing — a routine to remove makeup and gunk from skin with an oil or balm followed by a cleanser — as it helps prep the skin before makeup and softens the skin texture as well. But a balm that doesn’t melt in your hands and clings onto your skin is a big no no, and that’s where Le Pur’s Nemoringa Balm comes in.

The first time I used the balm, I was rather shocked because it reminded me of Banila Co’s Clean It Zero cleansing balm, minus the leafy green colour and slight fragrance the Le Pur one has. What I loved the most was the texture and how easy it was to remove makeup with it. The balm comes in two different sizes, a 15g one for Rs660 and a 100g one for Rs3,885. It’s not available in stores and only be purchased via the Le Pur Organics website.

The thing that needs improvement is perhaps the packaging and if they could offer variations where the balm caters to different skin types instead of just one that contains grapeseed oil, shea butter, moringa oil, moringa extract, neem oil, neem extract, beeswax and tea tree essential oil.
