Pankaj Tripathi, Neha Kakkar and Suniel Shetty give their Pakistani fans a shoutout at the IIFA Awards
At this year's International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards, several Indian celebrities openly acknowledged their Pakistani fans and thanked them for all their support proving love really has no borders.
The IIFA Awards ceremony was held in Abu Dhabi. The show made a return in 2022 after two years of suspension and brought Bollywood's stars out to shine. From Salman Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Shahid Kapoor to newly rising celebrities such as Vicky Kaushal, Ananya Pandey and Sara Ali Khan — they were all in attendance.
Some of the celebrities reached out to their fans in Pakistan, thanked them and sent their love. This included Neha Kakkar, Suniel Shetty, Pankaj Tripathi and Zahrah S Khan.
Indian playback singer Kakkar said she loved singing with Atif Aslam and spoke about how Pakistan is full of talent. "In fact, all the singers in Pakistan are beyond everything. The talent that's there in Pakistan has no comparison."
When her fandom in Pakistan was brought up, she said, "I'm a fan of Pakistani music. Thank you so much for all the love Pakistan gives me."
Bollywood actor Shetty kept it short and sweet with his shoutout, "For Pakistani brothers and sisters, a lot of love, for all of you people."
Actor Tripathi also shared his gratitude. "To all Pakistanis fans who are listening, lots of thanks and well wishes. I know from Karachi, Lahore [and] Rawalpindi, from everywhere people message me."
Singer Khan blew air kisses at her fans and said, "Hello Pakistan, how are you? Sending you lots and lots of love from India and Abu Dhabi."
