Bollywood actor Shabana Azmi tests positive for Covid-19
Veteran Bollywood actor Shabana Azmi is the latest celebrity to test positive for Covid-19. The Masoom actor shared the news with her followers on Instagram.
The actor took to the social media app to share a photo of herself and announce that she is currently in isolation. She urged everyone who came in contact with her to be cautious. "Have tested positive for Covid today. Have isolated myself at home and request all those who were in close contact with me to please get tested," wrote the actor.
Bigwigs of the industry Manish Malhotra, Divya Dutta, Ekta Kapoor, Boney Kapoor and Lillet Dubey left a get well soon message for the star to recover very soon.
Film producer, Boney said, "Oh God, please stay away from Javed Saab," referring to Azmi's husband, Javed Akhtar. Her caption did make it rather clear that she is in isolation already.
In January, Bollywood singer Lata Mageshkar had also tested positive for Covid-19 and was admitted to the ICU but is now on the road to recovery. Just a day earlier, K-pop star of Jimin of BTS tested positive as well after being hospitalised for appendicitis.
