It's wedding season on both sides of the border and we've seen some high-profile weddings so far, such as Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal's and Junaid Safdar's, but could another celebrity wedding be in the pipeline? Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar and singer Shibani Dandekar may be tying the knot very soon.

According to the exclusive reports by BollywoodLife, Akhtar and Dandekar are gearing up to get married this March. A source close to couple revealed that their plan to have a lavish wedding has morphed into a more intimate affair due to the rise in Covid-19 cases.

The source shared, “Farhan and Shibani were planning a lavish wedding in Mumbai in March 2022. However, now they will keep it low-key as Covid cases have been rising once again and there are many Bollywood celebs who have tested Covid positive. And so the couple has decided to get married among friends and family."

The source also revealed that the couple has booked a five-star hotel as their wedding venue and have almost everything finalised. Their choice of designer will come as no surprise to anyone has been following Bollywood weddings this year — Sabyasachi.

Akhtar and Dandekar have been in a relationship for almost three years now and don't shy away from posting pictures together and of each other on social media.

Akhtar was previously married to Adhuna Akhtar and the couple filed for divorce in 2016 after 15 years of marriage.

The Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara actor collaborated with Marvel studios for a project last year and also got back in the director's seat after a decade when he decided to work on a woman-led Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara with his sister, Zoya Akhtar.
