Doctor Strange 2 is all about the madness of the multiverse in its first trailer
Exciting news Marvel fans — Doctor Strange 2 has finally released a trailer and Marvel's beloved sorcerer will soon be scouring the unexplored Multiverse, which, by the looks of it, is truly a mad place to be.
Marvel Entertainment dropped the trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness on December 22, giving us a glimpse into what Doctor Strange will be battling ahead — a Multiverse that the superhero knows "frighteningly little" about. The sequel is set to be released in theatres on May 6, according to the trailer.
According to The Verge, the movie looks to be the MCU’s biggest foray into alternate worlds and timelines that instalments like Loki and Spider-Man: No Way Home have begun to explore. The trailer is originally the second post-credit scene viewers will have seen in Spider Man: No Way Home in cinemas, featuring an evil version of Doctor Strange at the end.
The trailer has fans super excited about the upcoming movie and they're counting down the days till it hits cinemas.
Doctor Strange's latest adventures seem to have bumped him into the 'favourite Avengers' category, which already features the likes of Iron Man and Captain America.
The MCU seems to be the gift that keeps on giving for viewers hoping to watch something in cinemas since the start of Covid-19. Marvel's No Way Home starring Tom Holland has received rave reviews from viewers since its release on December 17 and is on track to be the first release of the pandemic to surpass $100 million. With No Way Home, Marvel releases make up five of the top six films of the year — the other movies are Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Black Widow and Eternals.
