Being cooped up at home during the pandemic helped her fulfil her dream.

Musician, rockstar, feminist activist and now a yoga instructor — the list of Meesha Shafi's accomplishments seems to be never-ending.

The Waar star took to social media to celebrate her recent achievement, revealing it was a dream that had been overdue for many, many years.

"Today I graduated after completing 200 hours of yoga teacher training and am now a #YogaAlliance certified teacher," she announced with pride, adding that she has been wanting this for a long time and fortunately, staying indoors during the pandemic made it happen.

"In many ways, going through this intensive training during the pandemic was a blessing. It kept me anchored in a practice which took care of my physical, emotional and mental wellbeing and gave me a beautiful sense of belonging to an amazing community of yogis!" she revealed, thanking the depth with which the amazing teachers in their faculty shared their gifts of the ancient teachings.

Shafi then expressed her gratitude on the happy occasion. "I’m very grateful for this. Yoga is a gift that keeps on giving," she said, adding that her children were extremely supportive during her extensive training as she "often studied for long hours to pursue this qualification".

"Can’t wait to share these transformative teachings with all the people the universe will send my way!" she wrote.

We're glad to see someone was productive during the pandemic and wish Shafi all the best on her new journey.

She must have added her name with her instruction fees. There must be many better and less costly instructors around, with no value-added names.

Nothing else will give you more inner peace than speaking the truth. A yoga practitioner must also live life as per the teachings. Getting degrees will only allow you to run a business.
