'Mere Paas Tum Ho part 2?': Adnan Siddiqui and Humayun Saeed are sharing the screen again
Danish and Shehwar are going to [...] — oh wait. We meant to say Adnan Siddiqui and Humayun Saeed are going to share the screen again.
Siddiqui, who proudly has a link to a listicle naming him among '17 most handsome men of Pakistan' on his Instagram profile, shared a video of the Meray Paas Tum Ho co-stars posing for the cameras. Both look quite dapper in tailored suits in an oak-finished study/library stacked with what appear to be law books.
"What’s cooking?" Siddiqui started the caption.
"Sworn enemies turning friends? Danish and Shehwar burying the hatchet? From daggers drawn to brothers in arms? Mere Paas Tum Ho part 2?" the star continued, building suspense while referring to their hit show together.
"Humayun and I were constantly asked these and similar questions during the photoshoot, yet again making us aware of the immense love Mere Paas Tum Ho has garnered and continues to by all of you."
"For the sake of that adulation and accolades that came our way through Mere Paas Tum Ho, both of us are sharing the screen again in a fresh series, Law and Love," revealed the the Uroosa star.
"This joint collaboration between Cereal Entertainment and Six Sigma Plus brings your two favourites together in a gripping story. We hope to make Law and Love into a blockbuster too because, as I always say, 'Mere Paas Tum Ho' [I have you]!"
So there you have it — we might be getting our own version of Suits or Boston Legal!
The duo's last serial together Mere Paas Tum Ho, alongside Ayeza Khan, attracted a huge following with its finale aired in cinemas in January last year.
With the cult of Mere Paas Tum Ho came the rare opportunity to step away from Pakistan's longstanding fixation with male infidelity and male commitment issues and, instead, think about what could compel a wife to step out of the boundaries of marriage and what it would mean for her family were she to come back asking for forgiveness and redemption. But unfortunately, the ending fans got was not the one they deserved.
Having said that (and as livid as Twitter was), the finale did little to diminish the show's popularity, and we know fans are eager to see the two male leads on screen again.
