Hadiqa Kiani collaborates with Turkish singer for a tribute to Kashmiri martyrs

Song Daimi Bahar with Ali Tolga features Kiani singing in both Turkish and Urdu
Updated 14 Jul, 2020

Hadiqa Kiani won hearts when she sung in Turkish as a tribute to popular show Dirilis Ertugrul.

Now she is back with a new collaboration with Turkish singer Ali Tolga and this time it's a tribute to "our beloved martyrs: July 13, 1931 Kashmir Martyr's Day, July 15 2016, Failed Turkish Coup Attempt."

Hadiqa sings in both Turkish, Urdu and Kashmiri in song Daimi Bahar (translating to Eternal Spring), which has been composed by Ali Tolga. Tolga also lends his vocals to the track. The song has a beautiful melody while the lyrics - penned by Kiani and Turgay Evren - are a lovely ode to Kashmir.

The video features both beautiful visuals from Turkey and Kashmir and also haunting clips from protests and the violence that took over.

Could have and should have done better. Collaboration isn't everything. The creation shouldn't be boring. Not catchy and not appealing.
