Mehwish Hayat will be appearing soon in BBC's My World produced by Angelina Jolie
Mehwish Hayat and Angelina Jolie are both celebrities who realise the power their influence wields.
That's why Jolie has teamed up with BBC and Microsoft to produce My World, a global show which aims to explain the real stories behind the news, provide facts to viewers aged 13 and up to make up their own minds about international issues.
And we now know that Hayat will be interviewed for the show, as she revealed on her Instagram.
"The roles that I've done, they have been the type that have broken stereotypes. I really want that the male actor and female actor get the same amount of money so they get an equal amount of respect," said Hayat.
"Social media if used the right way, can be really helpful and healthy and progressive; it can build people up," she added.
She also shared that the full episode will be out soon but didn't specify when.
My World aims to fill a global gap in reliable and trusted information for young audiences, who are legally allowed on many social media platforms but susceptible to the dangers of ‘fake news’ and disinformation.
Hayat is currently shooting London Nahi Jaungi, written by Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar and being directed by Nadeem Baig. Surprisingly, the actor, who is usually very active on Twitter and very vocal, has been mum so far regarding Qamar's multiple abusive outbursts.
