Dhai Chaal is a story set in the province of Balochistan and the struggles faced by its local population to sustain peace and harmony in the region.

There's power, money, politics, greed and sacrifice in the film's new teaser trailer and from the looks of it, the flick's going to be a substantial addition to the list of meaningful cinema corroborating from Pakistan:

Highlighting the sacrifices of the locals in the region, the story is covered through the lens of journalist, Kanwal (Ayesha Omar) who is a hardworking, resilient and determined realist who is blunt and believes in taking people at face value.

The film revolves around themes of politics, power and sacrifice representing the plight of the people of Balochistan.

We also spot Shamoon Abbasi playing the part of Indian RAW agent, Kulbhushan Jadhav who was arrested by Pakistani authorities in March 2016.

The latter’s attempts to destroy peaceful relations between Pakistan and China by scheming to sabotage CPEC deals, and the resulting damage it had on the local population, will be driving the plot of the upcoming film.

Written by Faiza Choudhry and directed by Taimoor Sherazi, Dhai Chaal was scheduled to hit cinemas this month. However, as of now, there is no word on the release date yet.

The cast further includes the likes of Adnan Shah Tipu, Rasheed Naz, Saleem Mairaj, Humayun Ashraf, Pakiza Khan and theatre talent from Balochistan who in the words of Omar, are “a team of young, energetic and hardworking kids working day and night and who love from the heart.”

Producer Irfan Ashraf has commendably been working in the region for the past 15 years himself and his pure intentions and dedication to highlight the struggles of the people will hopefully be evident in the movie set to release this month.
