The first episode of Mere Paas Tum Ho released last Sunday and the two actors let us know what to expect ahead

The long awaited drama Mere Paas Tum Ho finally aired last Sunday.

The series stars Humayun Saeed as Danish, a man who earns enough to provide for his family and isn't greedy for more. However, his wife - played by Ayeza Khan - wishes for a more luxurious lifestyle and Danish wants to make it happen for her sake.

Images got in touch with Humayun Saeed and Adnan Siddiqui; the latter hasn't made his appearance in the drama yet but plays an important character. The two talked about their characters and what to expect from the drama ahead.

According to Humayun, "Its a very relatable and simple story of a husband and wife. How problems arise in their life and how they deal with it. Despite being in love, there are some misunderstandings. It doesn't have a complicated story line, that's why I wont say much but the script is brilliantly written."

Said Adnan, "It has all the ingredients that are supposed to be in a good production. People are comparing it to movies like Judaai and Indecent Proposal and saying it's similar to then. It definitely is because some movies or productions do serves as inspirations for our ideas. But the best thing about this production is that the entire serial is based on 3 characters. This would leave people glued to their seats."

"I'm playing a very rich guy's role who charms a woman. This is every man's role in the world who wants to charm a woman. I wouldn't say this guy is the antagonist in this feature. He's just a charmer. He is just trying his luck."

"If there's a villain in this feature then it's the heroine of the drama. She is after a man for his money. He provokes her using the power of his money."

About his own role, Humayun said, "My character in this is that of a very selfless man, who loves his wife a lot and is very honest. Its a very well-written character."

He added, "After a very long time, I'll be playing the role of such an innocent man. it's not like the character in Dil Lagi; this man is extremely down to earth and keeps on giving without asking anything in return."

Mere Paas Tum Ho is directed by Nadeem Baig and written by Khalil Ur Rehman. According to both our actors, the script is what sets this drama apart from anything written before.

"This drama has incredible dialogues. The editing is also great. We've worked really hard on this. I think this is one of the best scripts I have worked on in my life. It's a very difficult role. Difficult in the sense that dialogues are easy to say but if you say it in your own way then they lost their weight. You have to say it like they are meant to be said by the writer," said Adnan.

According to Humayun, "If you have a brilliant script in your hand then every actor wants to do it and they enjoy it as well. When the director and writer are good, then the actors put their heart into it and everyone has worked really hard on this. I'm looking forward to it a lot myself."

Humayun also could not resist praising his fellow cast members, saying, "Ayeza has done brilliant acting in it and Adnan Siddiqui's role is very dynamic. Hira Mani has done exceptional work, as well as Muhammad Ahmed and the little kid we have on board. So every character in this serial is very interesting and it's very different. The direction has been done in such a way that you'll feel that whatever is happening on the television screen in front of you is real, so that's the biggest strength of the drama."

Adnan added, "I am working with ARY after 15 years and Humayun Saeed after 12 years. Working with Ayeza for the first time."

"We have worked really hard and hopefully you will love it. Sometimes I think that I am going for an exam when I am going to the set for a shoot. It was so tough for me to remember the lines the way they have been written. Nadeem's worked really hard and I am sure it's going to pay off."

Mere Paas Tum Ho is airing on Sundays at 8 pm on ARY Digital.
