Govinda claims he rejected Avatar because he hates body paint

The actor's statement resulted in the best thing ever: memes.

You thought the viral video of Govinda as Superman was funny, just wait for this.

Govinda recently shared that he was apparently offered a role in James Cameron's Avatar back in the day

On an episode of Aap Ki Adalat, Govinda claimed he was offered a role in Cameron's record-breaking flick which he declined because he "couldn't commit the time to shoot for 400 days".

"Also, I can't stand body paint," added the actor.

"I gave the title of the film (Avatar). It turned out to be a superhit film. I told him (Cameron) that the movie will do really well and that I feel it will take seven years for him to complete the film. He got angry. When I said so, he asked, 'How can you be so sure that I won't be able to make Avatar for seven years?' I told him that what he was imagining was something almost impossible,".

Yes, we're intrigued and so was everyone else as the jokes started pouring in on Twitter.

Can you even?

Is he losing his touch?

And the fan art begins

Can we ever forget this?

Well this is awkward

Really hope this is true

The questions never end

Mystery solved?

Govinda would have been so much better. And he would have added dances and songs. The world does not know what they missed.

Hardly a surprise, he comes from a country where they say they were flying space missions and performing plastic surgery within the realms of a magical kingdom tens of thousands of years ago. Frankly I'm surprised he didn't go any further with his delusions.
