Netflix's first original Arabic series Jinn gets a trailer
High school is already a tough time for many but what happens when a jinn shows up needing your help?
Netflix unveiled its plans for its first original Arabic series last year in February and now we have a trailer for the supernatural teen drama Jinn.
A group of teenagers plan a trip to the ancient city of Petra and end up meeting a jinn in human form who needs their help stopping an evil jinn from harming the lives of many, including their own.
Last year, the show's screenwriter Bassel Ghandour had said, "We are really excited about this. It is very common in Middle East that people know someone who has a jinn story, so it’s nice to take that and turn it into a fun and mysterious teen adventure that everyone can enjoy."
"On a broader note, I love that Netflix is investing a lot in the region, it’s a real turning point. We have such a rich storytelling culture, and we'll finally be able to enjoy Arabic content with Netflix quality."
Jinn releases June 13.
