Pakistan seems to have recently topped travel lists for quite some tourists and travel bloggers from around the world.

With 2018 ending, we witnessed quite many travelers touring the country, celebrating the richness of its culture and hospitality.

Some even called it “one of the friendliest countries on Earth, with mountain scenery that is beyond anyone’s wildest imagination”.

Celebrating all this and more, Zeera Plus launched a campaign, Zeera Plus ka Pakistan, that aims to highlight and document Pakistan’s beautiful valleys, warm meadows and crystal-clear streams.

The three-season campaign is a look at the most exotic of all sites and sceneries from across Pakistan.

Let's discuss the most recent of all episodes that have come out of Season 3:

1. Kumrat Valley

One of Pakistan's most celebrated and scenic valleys, the Kumrat, is located in the Upper Dir District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Housing lush green pastures, snow clad mountains, the river of Panjkora and sombre forests, Kumrat takes up episode 1 of the season.

The Valley is home to diverse species of grass and trees, and is also a comfortable space for quite some members of Pakistan's wildlife family. These include snow leopards, monkeys, brown bears, porcupines, markhor, ibex, deer, jackals, musk, monal pheasants, and chakores.

Summers in Kumrat are fairly pleasant with the temperatures penduluming between 20 to 25 °C. Winter temperatures range from -4°C to -10°C.

2. Kalash Valley

The northwest of Pakistan holds the district of Chitral in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Located at the heart of it is the Kalash Valley.

Known far and wide for its cultural festivals and celebrations, the Valley is shared by three main areas known as Bumburet, Rumbur and Birir. Bumburet is said to be the commercial hub of all activity in the area, whereas Biri and Rumbur take up smaller geographical spaces, but are intriguing enough to keep travelers hooked for a little more than few days of their trip.

Inhabitants of Kalash Valley are known for their unique culture, language and religious beliefs.

Kalash Valley was recently added to UNESCO's list of 'Intangible Cultural Heritage' sites.

3. Chitral Gol National Park

Spread over an area of 7,750 hectares, Chitral Gol National Park is a narrow valley that has remained a celebrated travel spot for those enthused by nature.

The site is pleasant in summers and reveals some of the country's most unique national symbols. These include, the markhor, trees of deodar, the chakor bird and jasmine flowers.

Numerous glaciers inhabit the park and become passage to several springs of clear water that connect to a stream which runs 18 kilometers.

Oft recognised as the screw-horn goat, the Markhor's largest population, approximately holding population size 650, in the world inhabits the Chitral Gol National Park.

The Park also houses the Mehtar Summer Fort in its Birmoghlasht part. The Fort is said to have been built around the 1900s by His Highness Shuja ul-Mulk.

Zeera Plus ka Pakistan is an initiative that weighs Pakistan's rich and exotic landscapes to highlight how what makes them a plus for the country.
