Years and years in the making, the trailer for Bilal Lashari's The Legend of Maula Jatt is finally here and it was worth the wait!

The movie will hit cinemas on Eid-ul-Fitr 2019; the flick, starring Mahira Khan, Humaima Malick, Fawad Khan and Hamza Ali Abbasi, (Ali Azmat will also make a cameo!) will also become the first film from Pakistan which will release in China the same day as its domestic release. The cast also includes Gohar Rasheed, Faris Shafi, Shafqat Cheema, Nayyer Ejaz and Saima Baloch, among others.

From the trailer, it looks like it's going to be one intense, action-packed ride. Anyone else getting some major Game of Thrones meets Padmaavat vibes?

And would you look at Hamza Ali Abbasi?!
And would you look at Hamza Ali Abbasi?!

The upcoming flick is said to be Pakistan's most expensive production to date and it sure looks it too.

The trailer was enough to show me that it was nothing like the original. The original was a classic and perhaps only Sarwat Bhatti could have attempted to reboot but he was smart enough to know that without Sultan Rahi there is no MaulaJatt

Looks great. Lashari learned from the mistakes he made with Waar and improved his cinematography plus storyboards.

The trailer is getting more positive reviews from Indians than Pakistanis. Pakistanis themselves dissing the film. If the movie is good or bad only time will tell. You guys need to be supportive of your film industry like how we Indians are.

Well at least they stuck to being an original production and didn't ruin it by just copying scenes out of the pirates of the Caribbean like thugs of Hindustan which, like this, in itself had the potential to be an epic... this trailer gave me goosebumps.. cannot wait to see it in the cinema..

I have always been skeptical about Pakistani movie and Lollywood, but I should confess, everything in this trailer looks impressive except Hamza Abbasi's forcibly straightened beard! I hope it turns out to be a powerful and memorable Pakistani movie like the previous Maula Jatt. Making movies with such passion and optimism when the resources are limited and for a smaller market compared to those of Hollywood and Bollywood is very laudable. The audience in Pakistan spends less on watching Pakistani movies and expects them to be better than a Bollywood/Hollywood blockbuster.

None of the artists suit their roles. Fawad and Hamza both are chocolate boys they don't look gritty, rugged and macho man. Saba should have been taken instead of worst actress Mahira Khan. Bad choices. From title font to hairstyle to scenes its directly stolen from other country movies. This legendary movie deserved better.

What's Wrong with people here? Every movie shall have a little bit resemblance to any other movie made in past. Some Outfits shall resemble with others, few looks shall look similar that happen in movies NO? There are 100s of Cop movies, Do you suggest they are all copying one and other? Watched the trailer and started judging as if you guys are all great film makers. If there is a little resemlence with a Hollywood Movie, You guys say Oh Look that's a Hollywood Copy, Bollywood Copy and Blah blah, Can you guys show Bilal Lashari What the hell is Original Anyway? Learn Appreciate even if there are flaws, If you try find flaws you will find 'em in best of the movies. Our Industry is just trying to improve, give them space to breath at least. Why you guys being so mean. Goshhh I am irritated by all these Expert on WEB Who are good at nothing but Criticizing Others.

To all those who are still obsessed with the orignal mula jutt kindly go and see it on youtube and thn decide do you seriously think that story has stood the test of time. the truth is it hasnt. The storyline is regressive. If you still love the original that was made in 70's great go see that there is no need to be annoyed by the present interpretation presented by writer, actors, director. hating is just for the sake of hate is useless. To all those calling it copy of padmavat, mj started shooting before that. To all those calling it bahubali go read up on readit bahubali has scenes copied from Hollywood.
