We'll soon get to see those stories unfold in reel time as Amazon is set to launch an eight-episode series based on some of its most popular essays about human connection.
Each episode will be 30 minutes long and "will explore love in its many forms—sexual, romantic, familial, platonic and self-love included", says a press release.
Variety reports that the cast for the Modern Love series features some A-listers such as Anne Hathaway, Tina Fey, Dev Patel, Andy Garcia and John Slatterly.
Also in the cast are Cristin Milioti (Black Mirror), Emmy Award nominee Brandon Victor Dixon (Power), Olivia Cooke (Ready Player One), Andrew Scott (Sherlock), Julia Garner (Ozark), Shea Whigham (Homecoming), Gary Carr (The Deuce, Downton Abbey), Sofia Boutella (Kingsman: The Secret Service) and Tony Award winner John Gallagher, Jr. (The Newsroom).
Modern Love will also feature some heavy-hitters behind the camera, with John Carney (Once), Emmy Rossum (Shameless), Sharon Horgan (Catastrophe) and Tom Hall (Sensation) all slated to direct individual episodes.
Its release date is not yet known.
