Varun Dhawan will channel his inner Govinda for Coolie No 1 remake
Looks like Varun Dhawan will stepping into Govinda's shoes for his next and he's gotten all the Dhawans involved.
The actor is set to star in the reboot of 1995's Coolie No 1 and father David Dhawan will be returning to direct it.
Times of India reports that Varun's brother Rohit Dhawan is launching his own production banner and Coolie No 1 is the first project of many.
Varun has expressed interest in rebooting the No 1 film series which includes hit titles like Biwi No 1 and Hero No 1.
Coolie No 1 featured the dynamic pairing of Govinda and Karishma Kapoor. So far there is no confirmation on who will play the female protagonist in the reboot although there is speculation that Sara Ali Khan might take up the lead.
The film is expected to hit floors in 2019 and promises to be an entertainer chock-full of laughs.
