Chris Hemsworth is headed to India for new Netflix thriller Dhaka

Thor star Chris Hemsworth is reportedly all set to make his Netflix debut with an action-thriller film called Dhaka.

According to a media statement, the movie, described as a ‘kidnap-extraction drama’ is set to revolve around the son of a drug dealer from India who gets kidnapped and taken to Dhaka. Hemsworth’s character will be doing the extraction.

Joe and Anthony Russo, directors of Avengers: Infinity War will be producing the flick written by Joe and to be directed by debutant Sam Hargrave.

According to Deadline, the film's shooting will take place in India and Thailand, scheduled to kick off in November. “Physically brave but an emotional coward,” is how Hemsworth’s character is being described. “He has to come to terms with his identity and sense of self”, said the statement from Netflix.

No release date has been announced yet.
