Get ready for another epic heist.
Vipul Shah's 2002 caper thriller, Aankhen has a sequel officially in the works, with Amitabh Bachchan returning as the lead and Anees Bazmee (of No Entry fame) as the director.
The cast is yet to be announced though Mumbai Mirror is reporting that Sushant Singh Rajput, Vicky Kaushal and Jackie Chan are being considered for key roles.
Gaurang Doshi, the producer of Aankhen had announced the sequel back in 2016 but the project was embroiled in a legal battle over the film’s rights.
Aankhen 2 will be produced by Tarun Agarwal and Eros International; the film will go into production later this year and is slated to be released on January 2020.
The original flick was based on a former bank official Vijay Singh Rajput (Bachchan) who decides to take revenge on his ex-employers by executing a heist involving three blind me. The cast also included Sushmita Sen, Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Arjun Rampal.
