So Sheikh Rasheed said that everyone in Pakistan's film industry is worse than pimps

Rasheed made the comments on live TV while responding to a question about Reham Khan's upcoming book

Awami Muslim League leader Sheikh Rasheed has drawn the ire of Pakistani actors for passing disparaging comments about the Pakistani film industry in a recent television interview.

During his appearance on Sachi Baat With SK Niazi on Roze TV on June 17, Rasheed was asked to comment on Reham Khan's controversial upcoming book, to which he responded by saying that he thought Reham Khan was more dishonourable than 1000 prostitutes and that members of the Pakistani film industry are less principled than pimps.

Actors like Armeena Khan and Mansha Pasha have called out Rasheed for his abusive remarks and lamented the lack of ethics among Pakistani leaders today:

We hope that Sheikh Rasheed and other politicians get the memo. It's high-time that politicians are held to better standards of public behaviour.

I think it is not worth to stress so much as Sheikh Rasheed is quite used to talking such things and arguing him makes in my opinion make no good.

People enjoy the movies and tv programs of the same actors and actresses they are putting down as human beings. Hypocrites.

I think he was referring to Reham Khan, but this sort of language should not be tolerated. He should be censured by PEMRA or judiciary over his remarks. That being said, I don't really have much respect for the film industry in its current shape and form. It's in a pathetic state and is desperately trying to stoop to Bollywood's level by imitating cheap item numbers and redundant story-lines.

Abusive language should never be tolerated or aired. Regardless of the content, the packaging needs to be civilized.

I am sure he didnt mean the new Pakistan film industry. He was refering to the old one from the 80s and 90s. In those days Pakistani film industry was a dodgy place to be in.
