PTV's new children's music show will begin airing next month
The show will be modelled after Sohail Rana's children's music shows that were popular in the 1960s-1980s

Singer Abdul Rauf, a music teacher at the Lahore Arts Council and other educational institutes, is all set to conduct a television show for children on PTV.
Mr Rauf said that PTV had offered him a programme, called Saray Sur Hamaray, for children.
The pattern of this show will be similar to the ones aired during the ‘80s such as the one hosted by Suhail Rana.
“We shall teach basics of music to children while introducing new compositions and poetry,” Rauf said, adding that he will co-host the show with anchor Hiba from Kinnaird College.
A few episodes of the show had already been recorded and, most probably, it will go on air in July, he added.
