What to wear to THE wedding of the season according to Sonam's shaadi

Is it still lehenga choli season or are saris taking over? Let's take a peak inside Sonam-Anand's wedding reception

If you're also looking for some summer wedding inspo, look no further.

Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja's wedding this week was the talk of town. Bollywood celebs dressed to impress and looked super glamorous. Here's what we thought of the looks and if you need help picking a shaadi jora for THE wedding of the season, let us help you.

If you're feeling lazy

Twinkle Khanna sure looks elegant, but she could've added more oomph to her churidaar and if you're feeling lazy like her, then you can go for a sweet, simple white jora and add a pop of colour to it with your jewelry and accessories.

If you want to steal the bride's thunder (with class)

The bride will probably hate you for this, but if you're feeling feisty and like Kareena Kapoor you know you can outdo everyone at the wedding and also look classy while doing it, then go for a sari similar to the one above with minimal accessories and makeup and a simple blowdry.

If ath-formal defines your life (or you want to run home early)

Hello runaway groom/bride's sister! Jk. It's no secret that sneakers are now considered high-fashion, even glamorous. But would you wear 'em to a wedding?

Here's the sister of the bride, Rhea Kapoor and the groom, Anand Ahuja both rocking the sneaky trend and making a strong case for comfortable kicks! After all, who said wedding footwear HAS to be heels/formal shoes?

(And they make it easier for an early escape)

If you want to be super bling-y

Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor sure like their bling and if like them you like to shine bright like a diamond, go for something with lots of kaam shaam, you'll definitely manage to stand out... or maybe not.

If you have to follow the theme but you really want to wear the jora you planned

Don't you hate it when you have to dress according to the theme but you have a dress in mind which you know will look absolutely killer? No worries, Mira Rajput shows you how you can combine the two in her dhoti and sari combo here.

Or even Shilpa's wraparound sari...

If you want to keep it basic

While it's never ideal to go basic to THE wedding of the season, but if Aishwariya Rai Bachchan can do it, we suppose you can get away with it too.

If you want to keep it traditional

Sometimes you gotta go back to your roots and work it. Kangana Ranaut is a prime example of how to look like a total babe in a traditional sari. Psst, you should totally invade your mother's closet, you might some old Bunto joras in there which will steal the limelight any.given.day.

If your summer bod needs to make a wedding debut

Come on, admit it. You know you want to. All those bootcamps and grueling gym training sessions need to show! Katrina Kaif rocked it in a lehnenga choli, maybe you could too.

If you want to make a statement without the bling

Let's face it, people go dressed as chandeliers to shaadis, and trust us, you don't want that (nor do you want to look cookie cutter). Go for a bold colour like Alia Bhatt and don't overdo it with accessories. Less is more. Always.

Tasteless fashion, except for one or two exceptions and so stupid to wear sneakers to your own wedding. They are really trying hard to be cool.
