Frere Hall will soon be turning into a haven for car enthusiasts and foodies of Karachi!

The first of it's kind, Karachi Car-nival 2017 kicks off this Saturday. The two-day car fest which is being spearheaded by Motorheads Pakistan in collaboration with Bullseye Communication, will feature unique cars on both days, vehicles you wouldn't normally get to see on the roads (hello triple digit Instagram likes!).

Day 1 will showcase exotic and modern special interest motor automobiles and motorbikes from all over the country such as Ferraris, Bentleys, Aston Martins, Jaguars and Rolls Royces to name a few. Motorbikes from leading manufacturers including Harley Davidsons, Suzuki Hayabusas, BMWs, Motorguzzi, Ducatti and Triumphs among others will also be present at the event.

Motorheads Pakistan is also affiliated with Vintage and Classic Car Club of Pakistan, which has been organizing annual car shows in the country for over a decade! Pictured here: a 1965 Ford Mustang from last year's show.

Day 2 will exhibit 100 vintage and classic automobiles and motorbikes from various manufacturers such as Packard, Chevrolet, Ford, Buick, Mercedes, Norton, Indian Chief, etc.

Talking to Images, the CEO of Motorheads Pakistan, Ahsan Mohsin Ikram shares, “There’s never been a two-day car show in Pakistan. The reason I felt like I needed to split up the show was so that I could categorize types of vehicles accordingly so people attending can differentiate between them. After all, not every old car is a vintage or classic car.”

It's no secret that Quaid-i-Azam was fond of cars. On display among a carefully curated line-up of cars will be Jinnah’s 1947 Rolls Royce Silver Wraith as well as a 1924 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost, which is the very vehicle Mr. Jinnah and Lord Mountbatten used on 14th August, 1947.

Another fascinating car included in the show is also the oldest; a 1922 Amilcar C4, the only one of it’s kind in Asia.

All that walking is sure to work up an appetite; some of our favourite eateries will be setting up shop at the venue including Espresso, Chai Wala, Waffle Cart, Baba Biryani, OPTP, Pan Asia and Donutz Gonuts to name a few.

The carnival is a public event and will be opening its doors from 10 am to 10 pm. Hmm so we know what we're doing this weekend!

This list of eateries will be updated with new information in the days before the event.
