It's nearly time for the most glamourous night in Bollywood, yep, it's IIFA time!

The awards will be held in the Big Apple this weekend and Bollywood is taking over New York City.

Stars such as Salman Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, and Alia Bhatt to name a few are bustling with preps for their performances and maybe practicing their victory speeches too. However, we're bustling with some questions instead: where is Aamir Khan's nomination for his blockbuster Dangal? Where is Fawad's nomination for his stellar performance in Kapoor & Sons?

This leaves Ae Dil Hia Mushkil, Neerja and Pink in the lead with nominations. Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has been nominated for Best Film and KJ himself is in the running for Best Director.

Pink has proved its worth this year with exemplary performances and thought-provoking content and has been nominated for Best Film. Big B has also racked up two nomination this year for his work in Pink and Wazir

Shahrukh Khan (not surprisingly) is in the running for Best Actor in the Male category and for Best Actor in a Negative Role for the same film (Fan)...

Dangal is missing on all categories despite being good movie. Shows some nominations like KJO, Fan are only included because they attend these functions, while some (Aamir) pay the brunt because they never attend award functions. Unfair on whole dangal team for one.

These type of "award" shows are just namesake as they hardly represent the true face of Bollywood in that the genuineness and authenticity are lost while transitioning from India to America, it seems. Nowhere hitherto did we see some of names that are appearing in the nominations above. Different viewership in this part of the world from the one back home, I believe.

Dangal should win best movie, actor, director, supporting artist, and even make some awards for that movie. And that is not even nominated. What kind of awards are these

All movie selection for this year are good except Fan movie and SRK. Dangal should have replaced Fan to compete with Neerja, Pink , Airlift, Udta Punjab etc.
