We've been waiting for Mom for a while now and now we're even more excited.

The Sridevi starrer's trailer just came out and it has us impatient for the film.

The trailer does not give away the plot (And we are thankful for that) but it gives insight to the background of the story. Sridevi and Adnan Siddiqui play a married couple and Sajal Aly plays their rebellious elder daughter. The trailer reveals that the Sajal Aly is not the biological daughter of Sridevi and that causes some detachment and distance between the two.

However, the movie seems to be way more than a slice of life drama and rather a thriller. We are getting strong Taken vibes but with a female lead. Sridevi is one of the few female actors who has lead a movie and we can't wait for her to do this again.

We're sad we didn't get to see more of Adnan Siddiqui but he pairs well with Sri Devi and we love the short scene where they are at the dinner table with their children. Sajal Aly also seems to be into her character. We predict the two Pakistani actors will be able to hold their own alongside Sri Devi, who looks amazing in this trailer.

A pleasant surprise was the get up of Nawazuddin Siddiqui! Yes, you heard us, that guy is the trailer is Nawazuddin Siddiqui folks! We couldn't recognize him and had to google to verify! But one things for sure, With Nawazuddin in the cast, you know there are going to be some intense scenes in Mom. Oh and also, Akshaye Khanna is in it. And he looks classy as usual.

The trailer does well to get its audience pumped for the movie. We can't wait to watch Mom and are expecting it to be as thrilling as this trailer.

Mom is slated for release on July 7.
