It's Bollywood time for VJ/actor Madiha Imam.

The Weekend With Madiha host will be appearing in the upcoming film, Dear Maya, the trailer for which is out now!

Imam plays the role of a 16-year-old girl, Anna who along with her Ira, tries to help an old lady, Maya Devi (Manisha Koirala) find love. Here's the kicker though: Koirala's character hasn't left her house in 20 years. Must be kinda hard to meet men this way...

The two girls decide to step in and write her love letters, in an effort to make her love life again. Of course things don't quite work out like they had hoped when Maya starts to uproot her life for an imaginary man and eventually goes missing.

"It's a film about friendship, about love, about family, about life... It's a film about everything," revealed Madiha in an earlier interview with Images. "I don't know how to classify it in a genre but it's a basic film. I wouldn't call it a romance or comedy. I guess you can call it a drama film, but it has a little bit of everything in it."

The film is a Bake My Cake films production. It has been produced by Sandeep Leyzell and Shobhna Yadav and written and directed by Sunaina Bhatnagar. Music will be done by Piku and Pink composer Anupam Roy.

Dear Maya is slated for release on June 2. Until then, we'll be rewatching the trailer!

Madiha is a very good actress.. I just wonder why she hasn't been signed in a Pakistani movie yet.

Her acting is monotonous and over the top. Nothing special about it. From the trailer, the film seems forced and boring. It's also kind of irritating to see 20-something adults play 16-year-olds. Bad casting.
