Shah Rukh Khan was recently honoured at the 60th San Francisco International Film Festival where he was in a candid conversation with X-Men: The Last Stand director Brett Ratner.

"Hollywood can help Bollywood in a big way," the Raees star told Brett during their session. "We need screenplay and dialogue writers of Hollywood’s calibre back home."

Speaking on Hindi films being adapted for global audiences, SRK said, "If I want to be invited to a global party, your party, I’ll have to follow your dress code. So I think we’ll have to cut our films short, maybe reduce the number of songs. But we’ll keep the melodrama, emotions and tradition."

The Bollywood actor also opened up to the attendees about facing failures during his career.

"I’m an actor. When my films don’t do well, I do lock myself in the bathroom and cry it out," he said. "By the way, it’s okay for men and women both to cry it out. It’s good to do that. Success and failure are both transient. Be realistic, keep working, and it gets better my friend."

Possibly the most excited of the lot was the Hollywood director, who said: "I want to make a Rush Hour sequel in India with SRK."

In return, Shah Rukh taught Brett the steps to 'Lungi Dance' from his film Chennai Express (2013).

So he is of Hollywood calibre. It would have been different if Amirkhan had said that....but he will not do it.

Correct. Bollywood just churns out C-grade stuff. Stopped watching them a decade ago.

Don't you think Mr.Khan that Bollywood also needs actors of hollywood calibre who can bring variation in their acting and dialogue delivery, and do more than just running around trees, jumping and wooing actresses half their age?
