Janet Jackson welcomes first child at 50
Singer Janet Jackson and her husband Wissam Al Mana welcomed their first child on Tuesday, January 3.
"Janet Jackson and husband Wissam Al Mana are thrilled to welcome their new son Eissa Al Mana into the world," her rep confirmed to PEOPLE.
Janet sparked off rumours of her pregnancy last year when she cancelled an ongoing tour in April, citing the desire to focus on her family as the reason. In a tweet to fans, she said “We’re in the second leg of the tour, and there actually has been a sudden change[...] My husband and I are planning our family[...] so I’m going to have to delay the tour.”
By October, the photo of Janet proudly displaying her baby bump was released to the press.
Little Eissa finally arrived on January 3, and Janet's rep assured media that "Janet had a stress-free healthy delivery and is resting comfortably."
