Katrina Kaif, Sidharth Malhotra mess with your head in Baar Baar Dekho's trailer!
If the song Kala Chashma was about Katrina's washboard abs, the Baar Baar Dekho trailer is all about Sidharth Malhotra losing his mind (and looking super cute).
The two minute trailer is from Sid's perspective and starts by showing his blissful relationship with Katrina Kaif (as is the case with most relationships)...
(Katrina's hot bod... just because.)
then she proposes to him, and they have a lavish wedding with lots of dancing and music (as is the case with most weddings),
till Sid realises he can't do the whole marriage shebang and cancels the wedding (as is the case with most Bolly wedding scenes).
But then, that night when he's drowning in his misery, he goes to sleep... (as is the case when people are drunk out of their minds),
only to wake up next to his wife, Katrina Kaif, at their honeymoon destination (as is NOT the case with most wedding cancellations).
By the looks of it, the couple is living in London, and Sid is confused out of his mind as to how he travelled two years ahead in time AND is married to Kat (as is NEVER the case with marriages). Beats us too. But now we're intrigued.
Both of them realise their marriage is on the rocks and things are not working out (as is the case with most marriages, because duh, how often does your husband wake up next to you claiming the two of you aren't married).
And THEN the trailer really decides to mess with our heads! Sid again travels ahead in time, but this time he's 46 years old (as is NEVER the case with life).
He gets calculating, because he's a math genius (quite a hot math nerd, tbh) and he realises that he's about to die in four days. WAIT, WHAT? (as IS the case with life, unfortunately. Totally unpredictable).
And it finally leaves us with a question, if you had a chance to see the future, how would you live your life differently?
Did Baar Baar Dekho's trailer just mess with our minds? Hell Yeah. But if you think the film is solely about time travel, you're mistaken.
During the Baar Baar Dekho Round Table the film's director Nitya Mehra said, "The theme of time is pretty much in there as much as theme of love and life but it is not a time travel film at all."
The film allows the characters of Katrina and Sidharth to see the future of their love affair and then come back and do things differently, Farhan explained during the talk.
The film is slated to release September 9. You can watch the trailer here.
